CDRC in collaboration with Making Markets Work for Jamuna, Padma and Teesta Chars (M4C) organized a half-day long event titled Agro-input Company Meet: Unlocking Char Potentials on Monday, 30 July 2018, at Ascott Palace Dhaka. M4C is a project implemented by Swisscontact in collaboration with RDA and mandated by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the umbrella of the Ministry of LGRD and Co-operatives. The event explored the market context, distribution systems, market shares and the potentials of Chars for the agro-input companies.

The event was chaired by Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid, Project Director M4C and Director, CDRC, RDA, Bogura and Dr. M A Matin, Director General, Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura was present at the Chief Guest. Syeda Zinia Rashid, Senior Programme officer, Embassy of Switzerland, Bangladesh and Mr. Subrata Kumar Kundu, Team Leader, M4C project were also present in the event.

Representatives from all leading agro-input companies participated to learn from their counterparts’ hands-on experience of enhancing distribution of quality input in the char regions.
